Shred Club
Shred Club provides affordable, accessible access to our skatepark for children aged 5–15, helping them stay active, develop skills, and belong to a supportive community. Membership costs just £1 per month, giving weekly access to skatepark floors during term-time.
Sessions run every week, Wednesday to Friday, with flexible options so children can skate as often as they like.
Why it's needed
Many young people lack accessible, affordable opportunities to be active:
- 56.5% of parents believe there are insufficient local opportunities for sport or physical activity
- 51% of children are not meeting the recommended 60 minutes of exercise per day (Sport England)
Shred Club fills this gap by providing structured, safe, and inclusive skating opportunities within the community.
Ways we make a difference
- Offer low-cost (£1/month) weekly access to the skatepark, reducing financial barriers
- Encourage physical activity, skill development, and confidence-building through skateboarding
- Provide a safe and inclusive community space where children feel a sense of belonging
- Flexible sessions allow children to skate at their own pace and choose times that suit their schedules
- Promote safe skating practices, including adult supervision for under-9s and helmet use for under-16s
